CSR Activities at Erai Akuj Amina and Harmony Children's Homes

At Turkana University College, we are committed to not only providing quality education but also engaging with and giving back to the community around us. In line with this philosophy, members of Staff recently had the honor of representing the institution’s principal in a special outreach initiative.

The Corporate Social Responsibility team, led by the Director of Research Partnerships and Collaborations at Turkana University College, Dr. Evelyn Kanus, delivered a variety of essential food and non-food items to two local children’s homes, Erai Akuj Amina and Harmony. These homes serve vulnerable children in Turkana County, and it is our privilege to support their welfare. This donation aligns with Turkana University College's mission to foster community engagement.

The items, which included staple foods, toiletries, and other necessities, were selected to meet the immediate needs of the children and to provide some comfort and security to these young members of our society. The gesture is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen community ties and contribute meaningfully to social development in Turkana.

We are grateful to everyone who participated in this initiative, and we look forward to continuing our support for local charitable organizations in the future. At Turkana University College, we believe that education extends beyond the classroom, and together, we can make a lasting impact in the lives of those around us.
