Dr. Solomon J. Muchina Munyua

Dr. Solomon J. Muchina Munyua (BVM; BSc (Hons); Mphil; PhD; Dip Bus Mangt (ABE, UK), who is currently the Chair of the Turkana University College, started his career as an Assistant lecturer on animal science and veterinary medicine at the University Of Nairobi (UON), Kenya in 1979. In 2000, Munyua was given leave of absence from University of Nairobi (UON) to work with the African Union Inter-Africa Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR) serving countries in Eastern Africa (Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, and Uganda) and Zambia where he was tasked with establishing, operationalizing and heading the Pastoral Livelihoods Programme (PLP). PLP was mandated to champion the development of policy and legal frameworks supportive of private sector-led livestock production, health, and marketing.

Ms. Mercy Kareithi

Ms. Mercy Kareithi is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya of 17 years, a Commissioner for Oaths, and a Notary Public. She holds an M.A in International Relations and Diplomacy from Kenyatta University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, and a Bachelor of Laws from Moi University. Mercy is the team leader in her law firm, Mercy Kareithi & Co. Advocates, amongst other responsibilities in many other organizations.

He has vast experience in civil society and NGO management, besides more than 10 years of university teaching and consultancy in institutional development, governance, and human rights, and is currently pursuing his Doctorate studies in Law.

Prof. Thomas Ekamais Akuja is a holder of a B.Sc (Agriculture) and M.Sc (Agronomy) from the University of Nairobi. His PhD was obtained from the prestigious Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Beer Sheva, Israel.He was appointed as Principal to Turkana University College on 17th July 2018
