NEW YEAR JOINT ECUMENICAL SERVICE

Turkana University college community held a joint service to celebrate the new year and pray for God’s blessings. The service was led by the University Chaplain Fr. Paul Areman assisted by the Christian Union Patron, Pastor Moses Lokwawi.


The theme of the service was “Centrality of the word”. The community was reminded of the role of the word. By the word God created the Universe. Everyone is called to use the word for God’s glory and to promote a virtues society.


The service was attended by the academic and administrative staff led by the Acting Principal Prof. George Chemining’wa and the Acting Deputy Principal, Administration Finance and Planning. Speaking during the occasion, the Principal echoed the ecumenical spirit. He encouraged members to collaborate in the same spirit to achieve the vision and mission of the University.


During the function, the new 46-seater University bus was consecrated for the activities of the institution.
