The School of Business and Economics is one of the three schools established in Turkana University College. The School plays a critical role in offering quality teaching, research and community service to its clients. The School houses the Department of Management Science, which offers a number of competitive courses.

Minimum requirements: Candidates may be admitted for the Course work, Research and Thesis Option or the Research and Thesis Option. For the Course work option: be a holder of a Master of Business Administration degree from TUC or any other institution recognized by the Senate, or a Master’s degree from TUC in a relevant area of specialization. For the Research and Thesis option, applicants must be holders of an Undergraduate and Master’s Degree in Business Administration/Management or relevant.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor degree with 2nd Class Honors, Upper Division, in a relevant field or Bachelor degree with 2nd Class Honors, Lower Division, in a relevant field with two (2) years’ relevant experience from a recognized Institution. Specializations: Accounting, Marketing, Human Resource, Finance, Production & Operation Management, Small Business Management, Strategic Management.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor degree with 2nd Class Honors, Upper Division in a relevant field or Bachelor degree with 2nd Class Honors, Lower Division, in a relevant field with two (2) years’ relevant experience from a recognized Institution. Specializations: Public Policy and Administration, Local Government Administration, Community Development and NGO Management, Financial Management.
Minimum requirements: KCSE (or equivalent) certificate with a minimum aggregate of C+ (plus) and a minimum of C (plain) in both Mathematics/Business Studies and English/Kiswahili, or KACE certificate with a minimum of two principal passes and one subsidiary pass and a minimum of a credit pass in Mathematics at KCE, or a business diploma validated by the Commission for University Education, or a professional certificate in a relevant discipline from a recognized professional institution.
Minimum requirements: Mean grade of C+ (plus) in KCSE with C (plain) in English, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics or 2 principal passes in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics at A-level or Diploma in Hospitality and Institution management.
Minimum requirements: Minimum aggregate of C+ (plus) in KCSE and minimum of C (plain) in either Mathematics/Business Studies or English/Kiswahili or KACE certificate with minimum of 2 Principal passes and 1 Subsidiary Pass, and a minimum of a credit pass in Mathematics at KCE or a Business Diploma validated by CUE with a minimum of credit C. Any other equivalent qualification as determined by KNEC. Options: Accounting, Marketing, Finance, HRM, Entrepreneurship, Banking & Finance, Purchasing & Supply Chain Management.
