Turkana University College will host the Country's celebration of the International Literacy Day on 9th September,2024. The annual event is usually held on 8th of September since 1967 to underscore the importance of literacy for a sustainable society. This year’s theme is ‘Promoting Multi-Lingual Education: Literacy for Mutual Understanding and Peace’. The University College will host stakeholders drawn from policy makers, practitioners and the general public to underscore the importance of literacy in creating a more literate just and peaceful society. Join us at the University College’s library grounds from 8:00am for this important annual celebration.
