Adding to the spirit of mentorship, the Dean of Students, Rev. This sentiment of institutional support was echoed by the Registrar of Administration, Dr. Henry Ongori, who assured the council of the university’s commitment to their success. Dr. Ongori stated that the administration is ready to support the new leaders, while specifically advising the elected officials to ensure they involve the general student body in the decision-making process to maintain transparency.

The Registrar of Academic Affairs, Mr. Paul Odongo, further commented on Dr. Ongori’s remarks, reaffirming that his office would provide the necessary support to help the council balance their leadership duties with academic excellence. He also took the opportunity to congratulate the new team and expressed his appreciation for the work done by the outgoing office.

Following these remarks, Prof. Wangechi delivered a poignant address on behalf of the university administration. She began by offering her heartfelt congratulations to both the incoming team and the outgoing leadership for their service. Notably, she applauded the entire student body for their exemplary conduct and the peaceful atmosphere maintained during the election period. In a powerful charge to the new council, Prof. Wangechi emphasized that the heart of leadership is service:

"Leadership is about humility. Without humility, you are not going to be able to serve the students effectively. You must be truthful, honest, and uphold the highest standards of discipline."

She further urged the SEC leaders to be guardians of the law, instructing them to strictly uphold the TUCSO Constitution and the Constitution of Kenya, while always pursuing solutions through dialogue and collaboration rather than confrontation.

As the ceremony concluded, the university community extended its well-wishes to the new SEC leadership. With the swearing-in complete, the 2026-2027 team now turns its focus toward fulfilling its visionary goals and fostering a transformative environment for all students.
