Turkana University College Evaluated for the 2024/2025 Performance Contract
Turkana University College (TUC) on Thursday, November 27, 2025 hosted officials from the Public Service Performance Management Unit for the evaluation of its 2024/2025 Performance Contract, marking an important step in the institution’s ongoing pursuit of efficiency, accountability, and high-quality service delivery.
Led by Principal Prof. George N. Chemining’wa, with two able Deputy Principals, Prof. Hellen Wangechi and Prof. Peter Edome, the University leadership warmly received the evaluation team headed by Ms. Felistus Mbua. Their united presence underscored the strong spirit of solidarity and teamwork that continues to propel the institution forward. The visit provided an opportunity for TUC to demonstrate its progress, innovations, and continued commitment to performance excellence.
In his remarks, Prof. Chemining’wa welcomed the exercise and emphasized that the University has steadily improved its performance outcomes each year. He highlighted TUC’s resilience, particularly in navigating its unique institutional challenges, and encouraged the evaluators to take into account the strides made as the University works toward fulfilling its mandate.
Ms. Mbua commended Turkana University College for its professionalism and consistent adherence to the Performance Contracting framework.
