Turkana University College Honoured at NSSF 8th Annual General Meeting

Turkana University College (TUC) has been recognised for its exemplary compliance and contribution to social security. During the 8th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), held at the Safari Park Hotel. The AGM, convened under the theme “Our Savings, Our Shared Prosperity,” brought together employers, partners, and key stakeholders. The aim of the meeting was to review the Fund’s performance and reaffirm the role of savings in strengthening financial security and supporting national socio-economic development.



During the ceremony, Turkana University College received a prestigious recognition award for its outstanding contribution to the Fund. The University College was ranked among employers with the highest total contributions in Tier II. TUC falls within the employee band of 50–99 staff members, underscoring TUC’s commitment to statutory compliance and staff welfare.



The award was received on behalf of the University College by the Chairperson of Council, Dr. Salim Ndemo, alongside the Principal, Prof. George Chemining'wa.This recognition highlights Turkana University College’s dedication to good governance, responsible employer practices, and its broader contribution to national development through consistent social security remittances.
