Turkana University College holds inaugural cultural festival
Turkana University College Inaugural Cultural Festival is coming up from 3rd- 5th March 2022.The Principal; Prof. George Ndiema Cheminingw’a will flag off the event with a walk at 16 hours Thursday at the heart of Lodwar Cosmopolitan town. The walk that will snake through the CBD is meant to bring the University close to the community and mingle through song and dance. Folk songs and traditional dances from across the country will be featured. The Turkana Government Curators are positioned to display cultural artefacts from the larger rich cultural community.
The occasion will also be used to donate blood to enrich the blood bank in Lodwar Teaching and Referral Hospital. Members of the University fraternity as well as the public are invited to donate blood to save lives. Students from the Kenya Medical Training College and Bishop Mahon Teachers Training College will grace the occasion and make presentations.
