While opening the training, the Principal of Turkana University College, Prof. George Chemining’wa, emphasized its significance, noting that it would enable students to earn while studying. He further highlighted that, since the training is conducted online, students would greatly benefit from the free internet available at the university college.
Additionally, the university is working towards establishing a partnership with Ajira Digital to facilitate more engagements that will benefit both students and the wider community by expanding access to digital skills and online job opportunities.
This initiative was supported by Mastercard Foundation, in partnership with eMobilis and KEPSA, reinforcing efforts to create digital job opportunities in Kenya.
