TUC Shines at Eldoret National Show 2025
Turkana University College (TUC) made a strong impact at the Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Eldoret National Show held from 5th to 8th March 2025, showcasing its programs, brand, and commitment to higher education.
The TUC delegation, composed of marketing staff, TUCSO student leaders, and students from agricultural-related programs, engaged directly with the public to raise awareness about the University College’s academic offerings and strategic vision. The outreach was especially impactful in the North Rift region, where nearly half of the September 2024 KUCCPS intake originated.
TUC’s vibrant stand attracted a diverse audience—from high school students and adult learners to education stakeholders and institutional representatives. Attendees included representatives from technical training institutes, over 20 secondary schools, and organizations such as Moi University, University of Eldoret, and the Kenya Bureau of Standards.
In recognition of its outstanding presentation and community engagement, TUC was honored with the ASK Chairman’s Commendation Trophy. The accolade highlighted the University's exemplary dissemination of information and professional exhibit setup.
Beyond marketing, the event provided a unique learning opportunity for TUC’s agricultural students, who interacted with exhibitors like the Agricultural Development Corporation (ADC), KALRO, and Kenya Seed Company—deepening their industry exposure and knowledge.
As TUC grows, the institution plans to strengthen its national footprint through:
• Strategic partnerships and local event sponsorships
• Broadening teaching practice and internship opportunities beyond the Turkana region
Turkana University College remains dedicated to empowering students and transforming communities through accessible and inclusive higher education.
