TURKANA UNIVERSITY COLLEGE LAUNCHES ITS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

Turkana University College (TUC) has launched its Alumni Association. This Association will champion, among other issues, the common good of its members, particularly networking. It will also go along a way in creating partnerships, collaborations and linkages with local and international institutions as well as enhancing the spirit of brotherhood among the Alumni Association members and any interested parties or like- minded people.

The TUC Principal, Prof. George N. Chemining’wa, termed the initiative as a great milestone for the University College. He added that the Alumni Association is not only for the benefit of its members but also for the prosperity of the entire university college fraternity.


Moreover, the Dean of Students who doubles up as the patron of the Alumni Association described the launch as a great move by TUC which will aid in tracking of its graduates. The interim officials welcomed the responsibility to champion the growth of the Alumni Association and TUC at large.


“I must appreciate the University College for having appointed us in an interim capacity. I want to assure the members and the University College that the three of us are going to initiate activities that will spearhead the growth of the Association. This, however, cannot be achieved without the support of our members and the University Management. I therefore request your support for the betterment of the TUC Alumni Association and TUC”, said the Interim Chairman, Mr. Daud Emase.


The Turkana University College Alumni Association was launched on 30th June ,2025. This was executed by the support of the Ad-hoc committee for the establishment of the TUC Alumni Association. The members of the ad hoc committee are Rev. Jackson Iruko (Chairman), Dr. Lucy Akinyi, Dr. Collins Obura, Mr. Koloman Madaraka and Mr. Phelix Mulunda (Secretary).
