This interactive exchange bridged the gap between academic and non-academic departments, instantly fostering the sense of shared identity and teamwork that defined the day’s proceedings.

The orientation transitioned into a series of strategic briefings aimed at institutional accountability. Dr. Henry Ongori, the Registrar of Administration, provided a foundational look at the Code of Conduct and the Citizen Service Delivery Charter, emphasizing that public service at TUC is guided by transparency and measurable performance. This was further complemented by Mr. Paul Odongo, Registrar of Academic Affairs, who focused on the "mechanics of success"specifically time management and goal-setting as the primary engines for institutional progress.

Providing a broader perspective on the university’s identity, Prof. Wangechi guided the staff through TUC’s history and its core pillars: Excellence, Teamwork, Integrity, Customer Focus, and Sustainability. Representing the research wing, on behalf of Prof. Peter Edome (DP-RIL), she also highlighted the university’s commitment to cutting-edge discovery, positioning TUC as a hub for innovation within the region.

A significant portion of the forum was dedicated to the rigor of Performance Contracting. The message was clear: at Turkana University College, every individual effort must translate into a measurable deliverable. This framework ensures that each staff member is directly accountable for the university’s strategic trajectory, turning personal growth into institutional success. The day concluded with an inspiring charge from Dr. Tioko Logiron, who motivated the new staff to view their roles not merely as jobs, but as a calling to be "architects of a brighter future." As these new members join the TUC family, they do so with a shared understanding that every lecture, administrative task, and research project is a vital step in transforming lives and building a lasting legacy of excellence in Turkana and beyond. #tucpressrelease
