KUCCPS OPEN DAY AT TUC

Turkana University College (TUC) hosted the Kenya Universities and Colleges Placement Service (KUCCPS) for a two days Open forum held on 29th-30th May 2023. The event was attended by the CEO KUCCPS Dr. Mercy Wahome and her team, students and teachers from Secondary schools in Turkana County and prospective candidates for placement in the 2023/2024 cycle participated. The event was officially opened by the Prof. George N. Chemining’wa, the Principal Turkana University College. In their remarks, both the Principal and CEO KUCCPS called on the students to choose their courses wisely depending on their passion, abilities and strengths.

The topics discussed included the following:

1. Placement to Universities, Colleges, TVETs; TTCs, National Polytechnics.

2. KUCCPS application process;

3. Student career guidance and mentorship;

4. Parental Advisory

5. Career guidance teachers’ advisory

6. Government scholarship among others
