SKILLS FOR PROSPERITY PROGRAMME
In addition to on-campus learning, Turkana University College runs virtual learning through the Directorate of Open and Distance Education Learning (ODEL). The university continually engages in capacity building of her lecturers to ensure effective learning through the learning management system (LMS).
Through the Ministry of Education under the department of Higher Education and Research sponsorship, Turkana University College presented lecturers for Skills for Prosperity Programme (SFPKe), where they were trained on Digitization of University Education, by the Open University of United Kingdom. This was to provide a baseline capacity training in Digital (online blended) Education.
Our lecturers participated and completed programme A’ and were represented by Dr. Lucy Akinyi in an end of the course workshop and graduation ceremony, at Crowne Plaza Hotel’ Upper Hill Nairobi, on 24th January, 2023.
