MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND UNIVERSITIES FUND OFFICIALS VISIT TUC FOR MONITORING AND EVALUATION EXERCISE
A team from the Ministry of Education, State Department for University Education and Research, and the National Treasury Universities Fund visited Turkana University College on Friday,24th June 2022 for a monitoring and evaluation exercise.
The purpose of the visit was to access the status of Government projects and to monitor and evaluate all programs offered in the University College.
The University College Management lead by the Principal, Prof. George Chemining’wa welcomed the team to the institution. He observed that the visit was timely and necessary for the Ministry to interact with the institutional management and get factual information from various institutions. The Principal further noted on the need for affirmative action on recurrent and development financial needs occasioned by the special demands in the institution. The team was taken through presentations and physical tour of the institution.
The group commended the University College for the preparation and provision of the necessary information which was guided by the data capture template. They observed that the institution had enormous potential in the light of its core mandate and location.
